A waterless room diffuser gives the strongest, longest-lasting scent. It releases undiluted fragrance oil as a fine dry mist, instead of evaporating oil from reeds or mixing a few drops into water. Nothing is watered down, so the scent reaches the whole room and stays consistent. A 50 mL bottle of Ascent oil typically lasts at least 30 days at 6–8 hours a day.
By comparison, a reed diffuser relies on oil evaporating slowly from sticks, so it fades as the oil thins and is weakest across a large room. An ultrasonic diffuser mixes a few drops of oil into a tank of water, so most of what it releases is water vapour.

How long does a bottle of diffuser oil last?
A 50 mL bottle typically lasts at least 30 days used 6–8 hours a day, depending on the fragrance and your intensity setting. The Scent Aura’s 120 mL tank lets you fill it less often.
Are Ascent diffusers safe to use around children and pets?
Safe for use around children and pets. They run without heat and the oil stays enclosed in the unit, so there is no burn risk and no water to spill. Some pets are more sensitive to fragrance than others, so use the diffuser in a ventilated room, keep an eye on your pets, and check with your vet if you’re unsure, especially with cats or birds.
Will a waterless diffuser make my room damp?
No. Cold-air diffusion releases a fine dry mist of fragrance oil, not water vapour, so there’s no dampness or condensation. You’ll see a fine mist, but there’s no steam and no heat.
Where should I put a home diffuser?
Somewhere central in the room, raised off the floor if you can. Scent released at floor level against a wall tends to pool rather than move with the air in the room. For a multi-storey home, use one diffuser per floor.
Can I leave my diffuser plugged in all the time?

How often do I need to clean a waterless diffuser?
